- Works closely with the Operations Manager to support the day to day operation of the groups for all the volunteers and members.
- Manages Health and Safety at the groups including Risk Assessments, DBS checks and Fire Drills.
- Undertakes administration for the groups including termly programme planning, liaising with external speakers, session payments and invoicing.
- Supports the delivery of aphasia friendly sessions throughout the term.
Before taking on this role, I was an active volunteer for 10 years whilst raising my family – the last 6 years of which I have been volunteering at the TALK group in Walton.
You never know what’s going to happen at the group, who you’ll spend time with, and what you’ll find out about each other! There is always fun to be had for both the members and the volunteers. I am now excited to be part of the team that makes that happen!
