By becoming a group volunteer, you will support our stroke members by practising all aspects of communication.  You can do this through conversation, writing, drawing, gesturing and using the visual communication aids provided.  Groups have a different theme each week with a variety of activities to encourage our stroke members to communicate in number of ways in a safe, comfortable environment.

 

Our groups are term time only and run for 2 hours per week.  All our group volunteers receive initial and ongoing training and are supported by theTALK Operations Manager, Group Leaders andGroups Coordinator.

 

Groups are run in Walton, Guildford, Ashford and Knaphill.

We have a range of Volunteering opportunities in the Surrey area:
